I think I see where you are coming from. An example could be when you are pretending they are someone else. To a degree I think it is. It is sending the signal that their boat is rocked by someone else.
The way I see it though. Is that everyone has fantasies. Are fantasies cheeting? If so then so is role playing. At least you are sharing your imaginations with your partner.

Not at all. You both know what reality is. It's just fun to pretend to be someone else for a while, for both of you.
I mean, would you consider it a strange form of cheating if the two of you went to a Halloween party dressed as someone else? No, it's just for fun.
Role-playing is a fun way to liven things up a bit and change the day-to-day. I say have fun with it and relax.

No, I do think it's a bit strange, but it's not a form of cheating like the other answerer said, it's a fantasy you share together. Of course, one could argue on the 'good book' that having that fantasy is cheating, but I don't believe in that nonsense.

No, it's the added excitement that spices up a relationship. I'd say if you did so every night or the only way to get excited then there might be a problem with the relationship to begin with, but as an occasional extra it is fun and enjoyable

No because you are doing the role playing with each other and not with someone else. You are only adding a little spice to your marriage.

far from it i think its a very intimate thing to do with your partner. perhaps you should consider why you feel threatened by role play? perhaps your partner is pressurising you to do it? thats not right if he is. perhaps you feel a bit silly doing it?? thats ok if you can both laugh at yoursleves. bottom line is that its not cheating but that if you dont feel comfortable with any kind of play - dont do it.

NO ..... Its exciting and makes the sex hot all over again. It brings lust and fun back to a relationship and I think it helps keep the people attracted to one another. Keeps it from getting boring.

no. I think it's a great way to prevent cheating. You both get to act out who you want to be with, who you want to be...without actually acting on impulse with a stranger. Besides it's fun and sexy to dress up
