My girlfriend is the manager of a pub, I would like to make some visuals to be played through a dvd player on the tv's. I have used powerpoint and powerpoint converters previously for drink promotions and give aways ect, but they just dont seem to have that "professional look" can anyone recommend some programs i can use to make these? Cheers

Windows Movie Maker is on most Windows PCs and is easy to use.

You can use images or just text and even include music. It is designed to allow people to make short movies but it can easily be adapted to fit your needs.

It has:
an array of colour options
an array of transition affects
an array of image effects
many arrays..

It can be saved as a wmv or wma file and can beburnt to DVD.

See here ( http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx )

Macromedia Flash animations look pretty cool.

It takes a little while getting the hang of the frames and motions, but once you get the hang of it, you can do a great deal with it.
