nicely it might want to be my feeling that what your father heard replaced into in reality the 'voice of the spirit' conversing, guiding, directing, holding him. that's the challenge of the Holy Spirit. some listen Him audibly others listen the "nevertheless small voice". Few have easily spoken to God head to head or heard HIS voice. Adam walked & talked with God, as did Moses, Abraham, and different old testomony prophets little doubt. The time period the voice of the spirit, is many times used somewhat commonly yet i do not have self assurance human beings are easily conversing or listening to the voice of the daddy, yet somewhat the Holy Ghost because it speaks to all and sundry in my opinion, for my area and in unique ideas.

When I was 16, yes. With the advent of caller ID, I would think this little game would be extinct.
