why are men better than women?

im 100% straight but men are stronger and more intelligent than women and all religions except hinduism say that men are greater than women (especially islam and christianity) who agrees?

because that is physiologically obvious, there is nothing much believable than the apparent...men might be ahead with women in our patriarchal society but it doesn't mean women are inferior with the challenges posed by men...besides, women have proven much albeit they're only given the constitutional right to vote on the mid of 20th century.

Men are not better than women. We are just different and I say, Viva La Difference! With your example, men would be inferior to gorillas or elephants, because both of those are stronger than men. Next we could focus on intelligence. Are men superior in intelligence to women? Probably in some things, such as Mathematics, engineering and science, even tho there are some excellent women in these fields. However, women are far superior to men in things like multi tasking, and often are much better than men in relationship issues. Women can often talk on the phone, rock a baby to sleep, cook a meal, and kiss Billy's owie at the same time. I am much more focused and can drill my wife at chess, but I dont have a clue on how to keep our relationship good, so I rely on her expertise. The problem with your statement is that it applies a mathematical formula to something that is not math! When you say better..better at what? What are we supposed to do keep score? I think that would be counter productive, and wouldnt answer anything anyway, because then the score would have to be given a relative importance, and that is, well relative to who?

Well, ya know, in the few areas in which men outshine women, those attributes are really quite insignificant. Generally, men are physically taller. That does not make them "better". We also are generally slightly stronger physically. That still does not make us "better". As far as intelligence goes, women are as good as we are at science, mathematics, logic and reasoning power. Women are as good at managing money and at running a business - ever heard of Mary Kay? It's your prototypical rags-to-riches true story about an enterpreneur who started out with a few bucks and a wheelbarrow full of ambition and died a multi-millionaire. Her name was Mary Kay Ashe.
Your "religions" are primitive superstitions held over from the past - a past that included fervent beliefs in fairies, dragons, spirits that inhabited rocks. Their pronouncements regarding women's inferiority are not worth a moment's notice. The ONLY thing a man can do that a woman can't is father a child - and that could be fixed, because there are a number of living, breathing creatures on this earth that can reproduce without mating with a male! Gotta face it man - we guys are superficial!

I say women are stronger and better, because although we can do a lot more in the way of heavy objects, you only need to train yourself and you can do anything.
Women go through child birth which is the most painful thing of all, and no man could ever say they can do that easily without being given the opportunity to proove it.

To say men are better is just a form of sexism and not something I particularly agree with. If the world were plunged into a war against the sexes, i would gladly fight for the women, because I believe them to be the better of our species.,

Both men and women have their own qualities - Men are definately better than women at certain things, BUT women are also a lot better than men at other things! I would not bring intelligence into it, because I have met men that really and truly just "don't get it"... and sometimes, even the most simplest things are too much for their grey matter to comprehend!

as a woman i would not say that man are better than women. but i would rather say that they are different.

man and women have different capabilities and both are needed.
men are stronger than women
men seem to be more rational than women
women are more caring
women are more nurturing
women can give birth to a new human being

as far as what religions say, i don't think it really matters, religions have always said what suits them most. and usually it suited them better to keep women out of power and out of the picture as much as possible.

if men were really better than women, then women would be wiped out by natural selection. but guess what would happen then??
all humanity would DIE out

so my answer would be there is no better or worse. and even though i am not religious the quote from the bible in the genesis comes to mind where the female was made out of the male and there use comes from their differences as they are there to serve one another and serve god.

Christianity and Islam don't quite say men are "better" than women. They acknowledge different.
