He can't fire you for that, but he may ask you to go home and get yourself together. What's wrong, girl? Do you need a hug? (~*~*~*~*HUGZ~*~*~*~*~*)
Keep your head up!!! :)

Not a good idea; using the "girl problems excuse" and crying on the job if you have a compassionate and caring boss will get you a reputation for being emotionally unstable category and will keep you from not only not getting promotions or raises, but could get you demoted.
Your boss could fire you if he wanted to as nearly every state in the U.S. today is an "At-Will" employer, meaning he can terminate you without even giving you a reason.
However, if you can prove your employer didn't have a legitimate reason to terminate you, you can collect unemployment.
Crying on the job is not professional, and would be the first strike, the second would be using a business computer for personal use (as you indicate you are posting from work) and saying it is due to "girl problems" would not only be the final nail in the employment coffin, but would put in into the disability category and you would not be eligible for unemployment...to collect unemployment you have to be able, available and actively seeking work.
A better solution would be to make arrangements with a co-worker to cover your workload today (and offer to do the same for them in the future) and go to your boss and tell him you are under the weather and going home for the day (hopefully you have sick days coming or your company's attendance policy is not too stringent) and need to take the rest of the day off, but have made arrangements for your workload to be covered by your co-worker. That shows that you are responsible and made every effort to resolve the matter to suit all parties (and more of a chance to collect unemployment if you are fired).
Also, please go to the doctor and discuss your emotional crying jags as many times it can be alleviated with anti-depressants because it is a a chemical imbalance causing the problem.
Good luck!

I would definatly try that. I don't think he could fire you for crying but if it causing you not be productive in your job then he can fire you. You need to see and dr and get on some meds to get your mood back up. Good luck.

You really need to get a hold of yourself now. Maybe you could go home for the day. He can't fire you but he could note it in your file and then later say your unstable.

nope, you cant blame it on anything. work and personal life should have a fence in between. when you are at work, you are being paid by the company, and your personal life should not affect it. you will be eventually be fired if you dont change it. happy valentines.

FEELING EMOTIONAL THATS CALLED BEING ALIVE. Grow up, do your job get on with it, or you deserve to be fired. You can't expect to be paid for crying all day with no apparent reason.
Sorry if it sounds hard but thats it.

(I'd gladly hire you if I had my own business). Do not use the girl problems excuse, rather call it a family age old dispute. (And watch out, you don't really get one, lies tend to become real, sometimes)
