The Republicans attacked Iraq because they really care about the Iraqi people. It is love. Just pure, righeous, Christian caring.

That goes against Katrina, veterans benefits cuts, not paying the sign on bonuses to disabled soldiers, making Cher by the helmuts, cutting education, oh and by the way making Condi; who used to be quite beautiful, look like Seal in a wig. What are they doing to that poor woman?

Anyway, I can't think of a real and honest answer as to why went to Iraq?

The war with was really started by Cheney. You know that Cheney is a businessman. The US has been running a trade deficit for quite a number of years, simply because most of the world's trade is designated in US Dollars. All the trade surplus nations buy dollar bills for their surplus foriegn exchange, and invest that money in US Banks. It is this money which really finances the US trade, even though the US has been running huge trade deficits for several years in a row. The US dollar is really propped up due to this factor. Otherwise the dollar should have crashed long ago, with devastating effects for US Business. Now Saddam Hussein who was cut up with the US over Sanctions had the gumption to decide to designate the trade of Iraq in Euros instead of US Dollars. Even while such a changeover was being contemplated by Iraq, the US Vice President Cheney who got wind of this decision, read this as a danger sign for the strength of the US Dollar, since if other countries follow the Iraq example and leave the US Dollar denominated trade one after another, the dollar would crash with a bang, and the US economy would collapse, and so also Cheney's Business Empire. So he invented the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD ) theory portraying Saddam Hussein as a dangerous man who should be got rid of . The CIA intelligence reports were tailor-made to suit this plan.

What they do not realize is that free elections does not create a Democracy as the Palestinians and the Lebanese have proved by voting terrorist groups into the government.
