I make stained glass and have just bought a glass engraving tool to enhance some of my glasswork. I am looking for a good book to introduce me to the craft and it must definately have good patterns in it - i.e. nothing too complicated, just some good, easy, fairly contemporary patterns (flowers, animals, birds etc.) Can you help?

most of the etching is just line drawing. There are some books out there I have a few but I think they are out of print. I have a stained glass Q&A site. It is free. If you are intersted in joining up I can keep in touch with you that way. In the mean time I can try and dig up some of my books. I might have some patterns kicking around that I can scan and email to you if you like!
Etching is really fun. The most awesome look it etched "flashed glass" this glass is clear with a thin skin of colour. When you engrave the glass the clear comes through. I used this on a fairy suncatcher one time. She had red hair with clear highlights it was really cool looking! The site link is below
