You will find the answer will be given by the use of Pythagoras theorem, which in equation forms states

Adjacent ^2+ Opposite ^2= Hypotenuse ^2

We know that the adjacent is 80mm long and the hypotenuse is 2* opposite, this will yield

80^2 + Opposite^2= (2*Opposite)^2

= 6400 + Opposite^2= 4*Opposite^2

= 6400 = 3* Opposite ^2

Therefore

Opposite^2 =6400/3 =2133.33

Taking the square root of this number yield, that the opposite is 46.188mm

Therefore the hypotenuse is 2 this = 2*46.188= 92.376mm

Hang on...is the distance (78.75m) the opposite of another angle? Where abouts is it in relation to the hypotenuse? If it's the only known side, you would probably go 'sin 90 = 78.75 divided by the hypotenuse (x). Hope this helps. :)

In all right angle triangles, we have
(hypot)^2 = (side1)^2 + (side2)^2

So for this problem it is:
h^2 = (h/2)^2 + (80)^2
h^2 = (h^2)/4 + 6400
(h^2) * (3/4) = 6400
h^2 = 6400 * (4/3) = 8533.33333
h = 92.37604

check: the sides are 46.18802 and 80
92.37604^2 = 8533.33333
46.18802^2 + 80^2 = 2133.33333 + 6400 = 8533.33333

I'll try...

Take one of the sides as 'x'
Hence, the hypotenuse is '2x'
I hope you know that: (Hypotenuse)^2 = (side1)^2 + (side2)^2
Following that:
(2x)^2 = x^2 + 80^2
hence, 4x^2 = x^2 + 6400
3x^2 = 6400
x^2 = 2133.333
x = 46.1802
hence, hypotenuse = 2x = 92.3760 mm.

Hope I helped...

let the hypotenuse=2x and the right side angle is x
the length of remainder square
80mm^2=4x^2-x^2
hence 3x^2=6400
then divide by 3
x^2=6400/3
hence,
x=80/3^0.5

(2x)^2 - 80^2 = x^2
4x^2 - 80^2 = x^2
3x^2 - 80^2 = 0
3x^2 - 6400 = 0
3x^2 = 6400
x^2 = 2133.33...
x = 46.188...
Hyp = 2x = 92.376

hypotenuse:x^2
Right side:2x
Left side:80

(2x)^2+80^2=x^2
4x^2+6,400=x^2
3x^2=6,400
x^2=2,133.33
x=46.188
2(46.118)=92.376
