I was a manager for 7 years at a concrete facility. Then I took a job doing engineering and design and have been doing this for 4 years. I make about 30,000 more than I was before and I really like the job I have now. The job is totally opposite of what I was doing and was a great move for me. A career change is very possible at 40ish just make sure you better yourself by doing so

successful makes me think you mean college degrees....four years ago I went from housewife to working to pay bills....it isnt fancy but that was a big change called working your butt off
