Restart the system and press F8 while it loads, you will be given some options, select safe mode. After the system loads into safe mode, remove any newly installed software/hardware and restart normally. If it is ok now, then the problem could be wrong drivers , try installing afresh the software. Also check fans, ram.It could be even due to a faulty fan which overheats the processor due to accumulation of dust on it.

Try the following

Control Panel > System icon > Advanced Tab
Go to the Startup and Recovery section on click on settings
Uncheck the place were it says "Automatically Restart" near the bottom of the tab.

This will NOT fix the problem, but it may allow Windows to display an error message that you can use to detect and fix the problem rather than just restarting....

Good luck....

Me too had this problem. But my system restarted at unpredictable times. The remedy (which is working till now) was that we found the processor not getting cooled enough. So it gets heated up and system restarts. So we added a heat sink to the processor and now it looks fine. Other problems might be -
1. defect in SMPS
2. virus (if it restarts only after BIOS)
3. defect in harddisk data cable
as far as i know..

reinstalling the o.s. can help u to solve ur problem.....
else ur smps could be faulty. just get it checked & make sure it is properly working or not..
also an improper or improperly fitted processor fan could heat the processor too much which restarts the pc at random times , so check. the fan is fitted properly & it is rotating fluently.
otherwise the last & the least posible thing is motherboard problem.especially check the capacitors or any overheated ics.
