i use nokia 3230. before i bought it i compared it with se 750i, the features were almost same. if you like cameras and music i suggest you go for sony erricson. but if you want a phone for work and play go for nokia, for ease of use especially with your pc, applications, good games easy navigation, easy storage, that's why i went for it. nakia 3230

I had a nokia for about 2 months ,and threw it in the garbage, I now have a a Sony-Ericsson (Z520a) I have had it a year with no problems, the features are great, bluetooth , infrared port ,device management are all pretty easy , I was going to upgrade again as I do every year , but I really like this phone ,thinking about keeping it until it dies .....I do not know why I ever went to nokia , I have always used Motorola ,or Sony and will continue from now on

The answer will depend on what you're looking for in a mobile phone.

First of all, most of the Nokia phones are smartphones. They have an operating system (which means, like windows or linux) and it's called Symbian. Symbian phones are capable of running third party applications, but you have to find and sometimes buy them to use.

Sony phones instead, except the P series, have just firmwares. They are also capable of playing audio and video files. BUT, for example you cannot install a program to watch divx movies, because firmwares do not accept applications (java applications are exceptions).

So if you think a mobile phone should look stylish, colourful and it should already have what it needs inside (I mean firmware), go for Sony Ericsson.

If you, however, think a mobile phone should not only be a phone, but you want it to be as useful as a pocket pc, you may try going for Nokia Symbian phones.

Me? I'm using Nokia 6630. It's the most "compatible" phone with the best performance I've ever seen.

I think Sony Ericsson hands down

nokia is "user friendly." sony ericsson, when you get the hang of the more complex brand, is ok. personally, both are fine. i used to use nokia then transferred to sony ericsson because the model was nicer. just don't get motorolla since it loads slow.

Nokia is really reliable and with good fetures. Above modle 6600. The picture, system and coverage is good.
Sony's sound is good and the picture result is so so.
