80's metal or 90's metal?

hard to say. in the 80's the metal seeds were planted, in the 90's the seeds blossomed. how do you decide which is more important (or better), the seeds or the blossoms? without the seeds, there would be no blossoms, but the blossoms are the part of the tree that matters.

ok, enough with the tree analogy.

without 80's bands like metallica, iron maiden, judas priest, black sabbath, and kiss, there would be no 90's bands like pantera, sepultura, nirvana (and the whole grunge movement), fear factory, rage against the machine, slipknot, guns n' roses, and nevermore (among many others).

however, the quality of metal music in the 90's is better than the 80's. the number of bands, and genres of metal music, exploded in the 90's. some good, some bad, but exploded nevertheless.

so what's better? very good question. my answer?...80's.

hell, it's a hard one to decide. '80s had some really great bands although I personally didn't like that sweet sound. I'm not sure on what genre of metal you meant?! But I prefer the grunge era and the early '90s , so my choice would be '90s

I PREFER THE 80 s BUT THE BEGÄ°NNÄ°NG OF THE 90s WERENT THAT BAD. AFTER 1996 METAL HAS CHANGED OR LETS SAY HAS GOT HOLD OF THÄ°S NEW MUSÄ°C STYLE WHERE THEY ONLY SHAKE THEÄ°R BUTTS.
