I thought Valentines Day went away when woman went independant on American men? And, if they do want the flowers and choclates they got a funny way of showing it - when just last week they were swilling beers and acting like one of the guys, high fiving with their truck driver mouths at the many superbowl parties around town. Sure, I'd give you some choclates and flowers if you exibited just a wee bit of femininity every once an awhile...

I'm not upset at all. Its just what I see, when I look at USA woman... So many many of them are brutish!

I wouldn't hold your breath for American women to start showing any femininity. The dynamic has pretty much been damaged beyond repair. On the plus side, that means you're free to ignore corporate manufactured garbage like Valentine's Day. Who cares what they want?

Valentines day is so so overrated, if you love me don't wait until February 14th to show or tell me, and hell, I won't fret if I don't get anything, because I get it all year round. Oh and save the flowers and candy, just throw me a couple of hundred dollars and I will buy what I want, to show myself how much someone else loves me. I know this is not a conventional answer but a truthful one. And furthermore, I can curse with the best of them and throw down beers with the guys and I have been told that I am feminine as hell.

I suspect those beer-swilling, high-fiving women were in the company of beer-swilling, high-fiving men. To each their own. But why do you assume they wouldn't want flowers and chocolates, too?
There are plenty of women of all types around. It's a diverse country.
P.S. Valentine's Day doesn't "go away" and it's not just for women to get gifts. Women can give their men gifts, too.

You act as if only women who exude femininity deserve gifts. That's not true. Only the women you love deserve gifts. I can be feminine when I want to, but if you EVER gave me gifts like that, I'd just laugh at you.

Try changing your social life and take in some museums, art exhibits and the theatre to meet a different caliber if woman.
