Because, the platinum version is cheaper, but i don't know why!

Platinum games are older games that are re-released. The game is still the same as the non platinum version of the same game, but has a lower price.

It simply is like music. Once a game has sold enough copys it becomes platiium. There is no difference in the game. Only the case. Its cheaper because it sometimes takes a while to go platinum, so they generally are old titles, hence cheaper.

If your reselling a platinum game the price will be considerably less, unless your selling Final Fantasy ps1 games in good condition!

with music cd's, it represents the # of copies sold of that particular cd,i think platinum is 750'000 copies sold(i think).
thats why the artists get that gold record or platinum record presentation of a disc in a frame coloured to the appropriate sales.
i can only think it means the same with games,and can also juz be a gimmick to sell more games,saying how popular it is

maybe the platinum version is a trick to make ppl believe it is a real game but could be a fake version...u betta be careful

I always thought it was like music and it was platimun because of the # of copies it sold. It would be cheaper simply because it was an older title but i really dont know for sure.
