Scientist are pondering over photos they took of the moon showing a ring of fragmented rocks. They said that such kind of ring can only be made only if the moon has been split and then join together again

It was originally fragmentary, since it was formed when a planet the size of Mars crashed into Earth during our planet's first billion years. It would have made a great cloud of debris, which then settled into a ring, and eventually coalesced into Luna.

It is an article of faith in Islam that Muhammad split the moon.

Science finds no evidence of such. The moon was split from the earth by a collision way back before the earth was full formed. But the moon itself has not been split.

the false prophet Muhammad supposedly split the moon. But then agian how can you believe a book with some many contradictions?

There is also a theroy about how the moon was made that kind of suggests split. But that too is just a huge theory...

1432 years back pagans of makka asked prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to prove his prophecy by splitting the moon .Then prophet prayed to Allah and the miracle happened . People of various parts of the world witnessed the splitted moon .
It remained for two hours.
King of bhopal (india) at that time also saw the miracle and became muslim .

it is said it had been. even it is said there is a mark of the splitting on the moon. but you cannot observe that while you are sitting in your living room.
