absolutely. it's not that difficult eitheryou can buy an adapter that connects your two pc towers. i have mine where all i have to do is tap the scroll lock button twice, and it switches towers. i use the same keyboard and mouse.

I agree with jpgray - i got a cable addapter that allows me to use one mouse, keyboard and monitor on two seperate pcs at the same time and i hit scroll lock to jump between the two - many computer stores have the device and it's priced around $50

Don't know what you are asking -- you can run two computers on a network and share devices . if you want two computers to do parallel processing then they need to be built for that purpose.

It depends on what you mean by tandem.

If they both have network interface cards, you can connect them together with a "crossover" network cable.

Need more specifics. Two at once, monitor/mouse/keyboard sharing, remote diagnostics, remote control, networking, internet connection sharing (ICS)? All are possible, what do you want to do?
