I'm alone today... It's hard, yes... but we can make it through because we have OURSELVES!
Just remember that! You should be enough to keep yourself company not only today, but everyday.
Just give yourself all the love you can. And if soon you should find that other person that can love you just as much, that will be wonderful, too.

Well no I don't have a boyfriend or husband I'm 48 divorced for over 10 years and have no kids. I do get cards from family members on Valentine's day and am a non-traditional University student they were selling yesterday and today these stuffed animals w/a birth certifcate a heart and stuffing and the tee shirt also that says Happy Valentine's Day they are only $5.00 they are really cute and a good deal too if a guy is looking for an inexpensive gift for his girlfriend or wife. My friend is supposed to come by today w/a card for me. But yes I do get lonely.

Most of the reasons why a person is feeling lonely on valentine's day is because they don't have a valentine or they have a love problem.
Me! I'm quite sad today, Valentine's day, because I haven't greeted my love one a Happy Valentine's day! And I also haven't talked to him. how sad!

Some people do, but I did not have anyone today, and I am not 'miserable' as you say, because I will find the perfect person in my own time, not just ask anyone I see or know just to go along with the crowd or else be casted as a loser.

my take guys/gals is that, feb14 can be a valentine's day (for couples) or a single awareness day (singles)...
of all the days of the year, feb14 among others (e.g christmas day, etc) is one day to be a hell conscious when you are just having dinner by yourself, watching some re-runs on the tv while munching and perhaps wondering what you did to deserve to be alone on this day.. worse if nobody gives any sweet something to remember the day by..
some people may appear happy and content, but i guess it's just putting on a brave face to everyone.

There is a side of me that is missing what should be there today and everyday!
Although I have a wonderful husband and son I have lost the companionship of my mother. Not due to death but due to her feelings toward me. It hurts.

my bfs a medical student and he has intership all day at the hospital he wont be home till 9 or soo yea its our first valentine and we dont even get to spend time with eachother :( i guess we will make up to eachother tonight when he gets home :P haha

yes -since my divorce , I've been alone , I know I should let it go and start dating again , but for some reason it seem like I'm cheating, ...so I'll be alone on this day
