My husband's old school friend called him after 20 years the other day. His mom gave her the number. Anyway, she's 2000 miles away but she sent him a Valentine to our shared email yesterday. Not steamy but a Valentine non the less. Normally the distance thing would ward off red flags but my ex had a long distance affair while we were married and I found letters where they were planning their "escape". I don' think it will happen this time but I want him to quit talking to her because I never got over what my ex did. Is it wrong to ask him not to communicate with his friend? My ex was very open about talking with his "friend". I never had a clue it was more than platonic. I don't want to be that stupid again.

keep your mouth shut but your ears open. (meaning, don't ***** at him about it but keep your senses up so that if you see or hear anything suspicious, look into it)

trust your gut instinct.

I would let him have his Friend ship but under some strict rules, to make sure nothing is ever kept a secret then you will feel better too, but if the other woman knows hes married why would she send him a valentine ? his Friend should be treating him like a married man, and he should be acting like one.

well you can't blame him for things your ex did, if you trust him you should let them talk. I mean she sent the card to your joint e-mail, she has talked to his mom and knows he is married. Have you asked him about her is she single? If he is open with you about it and not hiding it I don't see any problems with it. I have a few exes from HS that I still chat with every once in a while.

u cant help how u feel, and if u feel uncomfortable about it u shud tell him. maybe him reasuring u and having a nice little talk wud make u feel comfortable about him responding. try sending a valentine back from the both of u, and be involved if he decides to talk to her, make sure its a family email and u say hi too. ♥

Send her an email back saying there is a permanent error processing her come-ons and suggest she try a wh.or3. version 2.0.

key word here "what my ex did". It doesn't sound to me like there is any sneaking around being done. I wouldn't encourage any.
