A new super power....INDIA,PAKISTAN,BANGLADESH these 3 countries population on the whole has developed the world to a new shape.

I've noticed that Indians, pakistani's and bangladeshi's are present in every country and they play important role in that country's develpment.

if we three unite then no one else can catch our hand.

No doubt our India is great even without Pakistan and Bangladesh but it will be superb India after the trio becoming a united country.

but there is one thing in common in all the three countries...worst poliitcs. ha ha ha...

Sad to say, but I doubt it. There may have been a chance to avoid partition in the first place and put a secular system in place when the British left. Unfortunately, the British weren't wise enough to do that. The idea of creating Pakistan (East Pakistan and West Pakistan) seems ludicrous - so once partition had occurred, the creation of Bangladesh was unavoidable. Now a question back. Do you think partition would have worked any better if the British had specified that Kashmir and Jammu would be part of India, or that it would be part of Pakistan, rather than leaving an area of mixed religions to decide for themselves? Or would the conflicts still have occurred?

I am sorry that I could not agree with your premise that if India, Pakistan and Bangladesh become one country like before partition then India will be called Great India and it will be become Super power.

I thought that India may see that if the individual 26 states are unleashed then their sum of individual efforts would be more than what India is getting now as a whole.

I am not at all suggesting that this disintegration of India is in the offing, but it may take some 10 to 15 years from now when they could realise that India made a tremendous leap in development only after 1990s liberalization of its economy by the present Prime Minister Mr. Man Mohan Singh who was then the Finance Minister of India. For analogy we may refer to the recent 7-years history of the Soviet Union (1985-1991):

1. On February 7, 1990 the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union agreed to give up its monopoly of power.

2. On December 8, 1991, the leaders of the Russian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian republics met in Belavezhskaya Pushcha to issue a declaration that the Soviet Union was dissolved and replaced by the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Gorbachev described this as a constitutional coup, but it soon became clear that the development could not be halted.

3. On December 25, 1991, Gorbachev resigned as president of the USSR. A day later, December 26, 1991, the Supreme Soviet dissolved itself. By December 31, 1991 all official Soviet institutions had ceased operations as individual republics assumed the central government's role. The Soviet flag was lowered for the last time over the Kremlin.

The four principal elements of the old Soviet system were the hierarchy of soviets, ethnic federalism, state socialism, and Communist Party dominance.

Market economists believed that the dismantling of the administrative command system in Russia would raise GDP and living standards by allocating resources more efficiently. They also thought the collapse would create new production possibilities by eliminating central planning, substituting a decentralized market system, eliminating huge macroeconomic and structural distortions through liberalization, and providing incentives through privatization.

Since the USSR's collapse, Russia has faced many problems that free market proponents in 1992 did not expect: among other things, 25% of the population now lives below the poverty line, life expectancy has fallen, birthrates are low, and the GDP has halved. These problems led to a series of crises in the 1990s, which nearly led to election of Yeltsin's Communist challenger, Gennady Zyuganov, in the 1996 presidential election.

So, instead of having a behemoth "Great India", let us talk about smaller many nations who can each strive to become one like Sri Lanka or Bangladesh, if not Singapore and Thailand in South Asia.

Let us set aside our sentiment and nationalism and think ahead as to how we can make the lives of our people improve from the present messy situation all over the South Asia, instead of singling out Bangladesh as a poor country!

No offense, but I would guess - never.

Bangladesh and Pakistan are both well entrenched independent nations and have no desire to unify with India.

Pakistan is also considered a major world player currently being good friends with the USA (at least the ruling party is) and the west.

Also there are some fairly major religious differences between India and Pakistan/Bangladesh.

When the people Love each other and they have the same culture, it is possible with a little effort. In India we live with Muslims, Buddhists, Christians , Sikhs and Hindus etc.
Religion should be kept aside to become a super power.
If they unite they can become a SUPER POWER.

Do not think of such eventuality. Partition wounds are still to heal in Kashmir. Let us forget to become one country to avoid blood bath in future. Pray for prosperity of all people.

it would surely give China a big headache, as the combined GDP PPP would be $4,299,075, which would make India a larger economy than Japan and the second largest in Asia
