Triangularis – the facial shrug muscle (part of the Levator Anguli Oris group). Pulls the corner of the mouth downward – sadness, crying, miserable.

Mentalis – the pouting muscle. Raises and tightens the chin - sadness, fear.

When the Triagularis muscle is extended the Menatlis muscle is flexed. As with any muscle that is not regularly used, trembling occurs with flexing for any sustained period of time ... if you cried often, I imagine that it would take longer to fatigue the muscle thus producing less of a tremble.
