It is too far off! I Think you're confused. Easter Sunday this year is on April 8th... That's more than 50 days away. The eggs are usually coloured on Holy Saturday evening. To keep them fresh for the next day (some people like to eat them), and because no unnecessary activity should be performed on good Friday. Good Friday should be a day of great sorrow, prayer, reflection and meditation. As for Holy Saturday evening, technically it's Easter day (they day starts at sundown..) so you can colour the eggs then! Good luck...I hope you have a highly spiritually fulfilling lent. Ash Wednesday begins one the 21st!

Since Easter is on 8 April, I think there's plenty of time. I think Easter is fast becoming the new Christmas, where everything gets bought way too early, & the hype starts too soon. (Having just seen the previous posting, this is a typical example of what I mean!!!).

Actually no. I will buy them tomorrow and place them in the sun to ripen nicely before boiling!
