I am an Army wife and the mother of two children that were both born in military hospitals. From my experience we have had wonderful care. Granted you may wait for longer periods of time but that goes with the military. You hurry up and wait!!! Not really sure how to answer your question... when it comes to insurance we are blessed!!!

Since I suspect you are not sending your baby to war, you must mean which branch provides the best care. While all branches provide dependent care, the Air Force probably does so with the greatest respect. For whatever reason, the Air Force places a bit more emphasis on dependent welfare than the other branches.

As a parent pursuing a armed force career is going to be hard. If I had to choose I would pick the Reserves. My brother and sister inlaw have one daughter and both are in the Reserves. She seem to be doing well. It will be tough if you are deployed but hang in there.

Babies are too young for the armed forces unless they are very bad then you can send them to boot camp on Maury Povich.
