Was that the one which was set in various periods of history? Started with druids and Romans and went on.

Just did a search:-
"Once Upon a Time... Man" although that was 1978.
I'm not sure. It just sounds like the one to me.

It had the very cool "Toccata and Fugue" by Bach for theme music.

GREAT question! you got me wondering here.... I can almost see that ending.. but? a few different ones end "close" to it?

like:

At first I thought maybe it was Dungeons and Dragons (I only remember it ending that way once though)

Captain Planet ended similiar but not an "old" man?! It was Captain Planet....

so I went up to a favorite site:

http://www.tv.com/animation/genre/2/az.html?era=1980&g=2&l=A&tag=browse;a

and checked a couple... there was

Ranma 1/2 it had an old man... but, he turned everyone into frogs.... not sure if he held hands? lol....

He-Man, I thought ended with people walking together.... not world, no children....

what about bible tales? that sounds like something a bible storyline would do?

come to think of it... didn't a lot of 1980's kids things try and promote "world wide" everything...? with the "feel good" type things of kids holding hands across the world with an adult or two? that seems to be atheme I remember... but then.... maybe I just keep remembering that one video..... we are the world....

sorry.... not much help I guess? still.... it is a great question.....

Heard that one in my Bar operating days. i am going to reply with this. recognize the position an Elephant hides? He paints his toe nails and hides in a Jelly Bean Jar. have you ever considered an Elephant in a Jelly Bean Jar? He hides nicely now do not he? One to inform youthful little ones.
