Have you tried ebay? or better still have you tried freecycle? Freecycle is a like a local classified where people can post items they want to get rid of ... for free. My friend got a brand new tumble dryer a while ago, cost him nothing but the fuel to collect it! Type freecycle into Google and it will take you there.

How big? Small ones you can get from Harbor Freight for personal watercraft and small boats. Bigger ones from a boat dealer.
