I'm Jewish, child of a survivor & active in that community for many, many years now. I have never heard a comment like the one you posted. Not in real life nor online. It's an interesting point - that denier is part of antisemitism by denying the Holocaust. That using the term for other topics could minimize that. However, I haven't heard anyone associate it that way...ever. What I do get offended by is all the "easy" ways the word Holocaust is used for things that aren't one. It does indeed diminish it's meaning & horror. At the same time making the user look weak & not help their cause. The most often I've seen is "a holocaust of babies". While one may think abortion is murder - it is not the kind of degrading, & slow starvation, disease & killing off of every friend & family member, under horrible circumstances, the Holocaust was. So I see where the comment is coming from - but it's bizzarre that you've seen it said more than once. Sure it isn't one or two people with multiple accounts, like so many highly off center in YA or other forums? Or worse yet, I've seen hateful antisemites pretend to be Jewish & make claims at "non-Jews" just to make Jews look bad. I can spot them when they make an error in Judaism or termology they should know... but it's not easy for others to even imagine such "garbage" comes at the Jewish community. If I would frequently such sites as yours - I'd tell them to give it up & get a life. I have no problem with calling 9/11 truthers "deniers" of reality, or of using the term in it's many other uses. ============= Chaya Interesting - I'll have to go check it out. So, it is trying to use Holocaust denial energy to push their own AWG related agenda? That enters into how antiabortionists misuse Holocaust. It's easy to avoid the word & use septic which is more accurate anyway. Denial is a loaded term, that is being used here on purpose as loaded. I wouldn't automatically associate it with Holocaust denial, but the over the top word, would trigger a caution in me & sense that what was done to my family was being reduced in importance -- if anything caused me to associate it with the Holocaust (which the originator of the term did do, if Meadow's posting is correct.)

Wanting to be an international designer seems rather a lofty ambition for someone who can hardly thread a needle.
