I need to know what the minimum mialage is from one depot to another before i can claim travel costs.

my current travel milage is 15 miles to work, the depot is moving 14.5 miles further away from my home direction resulting in me having to travel 31.5 miles.

I think your employer can pay you tax free for the extra mileage for a short time but it is up to him and you would need check the current ruling on tax with the tax office

I don't think you are ever entitled to any assistance from your employer for your expenses in getting to work, even if they move. Sometimes unions negotiate this sort of thing, but you can't automatically claim it. It's just bad luck.

Unless you have an agreement in place with your employer it is up to you to get to work
