this simply means that the IE is trying to warn you that if you think these links will function on there own they wont, incase u think that taking them as is to an offline PC will work, so its telling you that you need to add there data to it. but in you case i think you are aware of this and you know what your doing so just tell it to proceed and then on your new pc copy the link to the same folder place eg. ( c:\documents and settings\xxxxx\favourates). best of luck

Looks strange anyway you do one thing go through my computer to the favorite directory and then select all the files and then copy it to the floppy disk and I think one or two files which may be link files may not be copied however do not worry since most of your files would be copied.

I believe it means that by copying files the short cut for the $DATA file would not necessarily work since files did not transfer with it ...flie is stored on drive somewhere else not in the favorites folder.
