I study in the IGCSE curriculum and my dad wants me to become something to do with my intellect...but i feel that one rarely gets fame in this area.and i also have got great talent in singing and in acting....he is aware of it but yet insists.....how do i make him understand?

Okay first of all.....if you have talent in the arts adn that what you want tot do...then do it!!! There is no shame in wanting to do something other than your parents!! Remember you can do anything you want when you're 18!!!!!!!!!
As for the door knob who answered first saying that KC has no talent....shut up....Me and my bestfriend are going to newyork with a show that we are both in....KC has talent...not just NY and LA...trust me you door knob!! I bet you i have more talent than you!!!!
Now for the girl who asked the question....get invovled!!! Get into some shows and have your dad come!!! then he can SEE how much you love it and want to do it!!! HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK!!!!

Look, kid. Even if you live in NY or LA the odds against you are terrific. If you're writing from Kansas City, fuggetaboudid.
Your dad may be dumb in other respects, but he's right in this one. If you have an intellect, use it. Keep things in perspective.
Do you think that ten years from now anyone will know who Anna Nicole Smith was? I have already forgotten.
What is fame really worth? How many actors from the 19th century can you call to mind, aside from the guy that shot Lincoln?
