It must fit in with the area. I suggest you go around and paint all the other houses pink. YOOOOHoooooo!

I guess it would depend if you own the property, if the house is protected by National Trust or in a conservation area. The local council can advise should you need planning permission to make any changes.

Also the paint would have to be non toxic I would think.

Supposing none of the above I guess pale pink would be acceptable but bright hot pink may be objectionable.

Don't think you will get arrested but you might be heavily fined or find that you have to correct the offending colour should the local council object.

Not arrested, but if you live in 'Council' accommodation - they might not approve - also the Council might force you to change the colour - particularly if you live in 'listed' accommodation or you live in a conservation area since the colour 'pink' may not blend in with everything else around it - If you haven't started painting yet - I would advise you consult the Council's Planning Department to check that what you are doing is suitable to them.

I have seen houses painted in bright colors, that really stood out in the neighborhood. I can't recall ones owner ever being arrested for it.
