All my windows are high up and he is 90lb black lab if I get him out I will not be able to get him back in. I don't have a attached garage if i had one I could get my snow blower out of the shed and do the job. And as far as my basement goes it doesn't have spiders and he is afaid of the stairs they don't have carpet and it is not finished.

If the dog is to heavy to get out the window, you need to go outside via the window and shovel the door clear from the outside. OR get a screw driver and remove the hinges from the door to get it out of the way.

Either way you will be doing some shoveling, but you will be able to get the dog outside. The hinges would be the fastest way if you really want to hurry.

Good luck :)

10 inches = less than a foot. unless you are under 1 foot tall, open the door, dig out some snow in the backyard.

I can't click the thumbs up yet, and since Jokin' Jo put it so well, I'm pleading that someone give the woman a thumbs up for stating it in such a way that will give giggles to those that read it.

I agree with Shannon C. You're gonna have to shovel SOMETIME. Might as well haul yourself out the window and do it now. Because even if your dog DOES potty inside, in a few hours you'll have to go through this whole thing again.

10 inches of ........... ?

If it's his manhood, don't complain! But the newspaper won't make an effective condom.

If it's snow, it shouldn't be in the basement, and again, newspaper isn't waterproof.

If it's a 10 inch spider in the basement, you are brave to whack it with a rolled up newspaper. I can't blame him for not going near it though.

you can't open the door and let him out? look, he or she will eventually go somewhere, just follow him or her around and put paper down
