Hi, you didn't say why you want to be in the bios settings. be careful what you change. Most pc's flash up what to press at start up either del or F2 seems the most popular. Boot your machine up and it should 'press ?? to run set up. Once in there you will be able to see your computer's brain ticking away!! You need the recovery CD if you have one to restore although on some pc's you can do this from the programmes. Look to see if you have any pre-loaded software from the manufacturer in programmes named recovery management. If you have you will be able to restore factory settings WITHOUT the cd. Hope this helps

I would get proper professional technical advice before trying to get bios up - I have done it once as a lay person and was talked through the procedure by a techi, it is quite a procedure not recommended if you don't know what your doing.

You will have to read your manual regarding the laptop factory settings - but briefly I would think you would have to uninstall and reinstall from disc.

Good Luck - sorry I can't be of any more help

The bios is accessed by hitting the required key as the system boots (before it loads Windows). The key does vary, but is commonly the DEL (delete) key. Restoring to factory setting is usually by booting from the supplied CD, although some manufacturers save a few cents and don't provide the CD, you have to burn it from the PC. If you don't have a start up CD you may be able to buy one from the manufacturer's agent in your country.
