I do believe that the media, magazines and tv are having a negative impact on young girls. Everyone is supposed to be like a cookie cutter. If you wear more than a size 2 in our society you are considered fat. Women and young girls come in all shapes and sizes and colors. We older ladies marched for women's rights, to be paid the same amount for a job whether it's a woman or a man. We worked very hard to get respect and equality. But now, the majority call women and girls bitches and hoe's. All of that voting, protesting and marching has been destroyed now. Women and girls today are expected to be pretty, thin as a stick, half naked and dumb as a rock. Really sad if you think about it.

The media has a need for women to be sexually promiscuous. They perpetuate this by putting forth women who have no real meaning to society but the fact they sleep around. What is the last time you heard about the latest woman scientist making a breakthrough? Now ask yourself how many times you hear about Paris Hilton a DAY. What has she done? Nothing but sleep around and post it on the internet.

The media wants more and more of these women as they wish to perpetuate these type of women for their own ratings. If they could put porn on TV, they would. Look at Cosmopolitan magazine sometime. Do you ever see a story like, "How to make guys like you for your mind"? Or "Respect yourself and win your man"? Noop. The average story is, "12 nasty positions to drive your man WILD!" sheesh.

Now we are treated to the story of Anna Nicole Smith and the search for "Her babies Daddy". So far there at least five prospects and counting. Disgraceful.

Yes, The fashion industry and the media basically has told women that if you're not 5'10"+ and a size 4 or smaller, you're not attractive to us.

i totally agree. there's so much depression in young girls starting from 12 o 13 when they look at these perfect skinny girls. Plus if u start to notice everything we see on T.V(most largely) is wat we call as "male voyerism", its male gaze, suited for men. why would i, a srtaight girl be tempted to try out a chocolate if i see a hot chick licking and playinmg wirth it? i think its giving rise to more bisexuals and lesbians. wat do u think? hit bak
