Are people in certain countries or cities more friendly or cheerful than others? Have you ever been amazed at people's state of mind on a larger level?

Has there been an you've lived in or visited that surprized you with the wholescale rudeness?

Disneyland, the Happiest Place on Earth.

But seriously, I would have to say the friendliest place I have ever visited is the state of Louisiana. They are the kindest, most helpful people I could encounter in the USA, and they are heck of good cooks, too!

A place where I had always been told was full of rude people was New York City, but I have to tell you that every time I visited there, I was greeted by nice, helpful, friendly people--and I'm not just talking about hotel concierges! You can meet a lot of really nice, friendly people in New York!.

Now, as for RUDE people: I was shocked, when I first moved to Los Angeles, how many rude people there are here! I had previously thought that everybody was friendly and laid back, but boy was I wrong! Not to say that everybody is that way, but I was surprised to find so many were are that way!

There is no such place that constitutes being the friendliest place I have ever visited and I use to travel a lot. People don't care about being friendly anymore. The world is a horrible place and the only times I saw overly friendly people was at my father's funeral and they were all giddy and phony and excited talking about their nice cars, vacations and how much money they have. That is sick, disrespectful, and down right mean and evil. Acting so friendly at a freaken funeral while a dead body is lying in a coffin. I made sure they stopped by being a *itch to these evil humans.

People in West Virginia seem to be pretty nice. My parents live there. I live in Germany now, and I think a lot of people here are rude. They push, shove, butt in line, don't say thank-you, the salespeople are often snotty and anything but helpful. I'm not saying that all Germans are rude, but on average they are not as friendly as Americans.
