I never really had to do that with my women in the past... I just gave them "the look" and they knew to straighten up and quit being a brat.

No my husband never has. He would never embarrase me out in public. "The Look" usually works. If it doesn't he usually just whispers a warning that I better stop if I know whats good for me in my ear. That makes me straighten up really fast. BUT my husband rarely even has to give me "the look" I'm a good girl and dont act like a brat in public. I save that for at home. LOL

He ONLY scolds me in public because he gets all BOLD with all the witnesses around. Otherwise, he knows what's coming to him.

Once...
One time, (we were living in the Middle East at the time), we went food shopping. He yelled at me about something really stupid, so I pretended to start crying... loud... saying "I'm sorry, I'm sorry- I won't do it again!".
All the men and women looked at us (giving me looks of pity, him looks of outrage/anger). My husband told me to stop and I kept nodding, saying that I was trying to, that I wanted to please him. Then he grabbed my arm and whispered in my ear that I better "knock it off right now".
Oh, I thought the men (and the old women) were going to gang up beat him for grabbing me.
Needless to say, my husband dragged me out of the store. He was so pissed. But he never did yell at me again in public... I think he's afraid I'll embarress him again...
