The office I am temping(tempoarary employment) in is opening two hours late and I just want to take the day off so I can go to this interview (The interview is not officially set-up, but they have time to meet today). The weather is bad here but I am not sure if it is bad enough for me to use it as an excuse not to go to work. Do you think I need a better excuse? The news keeps saying that people should stay home but the office I am in they are usually always open. I am only temporary there and I want to try and do an interview today but I am not even sure if it is safe to travel to the interview. What should I do?

If the roads are bad you really don't know yet if the company will even interview you. So you may call off work, get fired & not even get the interview with the other company.

Go to work and if you get the call for the interview ask your boss if you can leave early (make up some family bs emergency like a car won't start or something), or schedule it at a time where you can plan the time off.

Good luck

Check on both.
Chances are that they are both cancelled.

Personally, if the weather is really bad and you don't absolutely have to be somewhere, then stay home. Wait for the weather to clear up. There are too many dead people who thought they can drive in bad weather, only to get hit by somebody who can't.

Besides the interview is not officially set up.
Ask for a day off. Attend the interview then, instead of making things difficult.

I'd say go for it. Tell them that you are having trouble with your car battery or some sort of story and that you are waiting for AAA or help.

I have no guilt about taking the day if it is only temporary work. You have to do what is best for you and your employment.

Good luck on the job interview and drive really safely. Lots of accidents here in Mass.

diarrhea, its something that everyone gets and nobody asks questions about. just say, " i think something i ate last night made me sick, i took some imodium ad but i dont think it worked". trust me you dont even have to say what u have, cuz they already know...lol. in case they do get smart and tell u to go see a doctor. just say, "i called my doctor and he/she told me to drink plenty of fluids (pedialyte) and to stay home till i get over it".
