Well i think im going to get my period pretty soon, im not ususally a victimof bloating, but i've had it quite bad recently.. Is it common to bloat? And how early do girls start bloating before their period is due? xxx

I usually do 2 weeks before. my 17yr daughter never did either but now she does, she now does only 3 days before. all of us are different. and our bodies react differently. for period cramps and pain take midol, take a warm shower and put a heating pad on your stomach.

Yes girls can bloat before their period. I bloated for about a week before my period. I later discovered that trying to drink more water helps ease the problem. I know that it sounds like it would make it worse and for a time I thought that it might but it actually helped a lot.
There are OTC diuretics that one can take for this as well but check with your dr first to find out if it's ok for you to take them.

One to two weeks before, some have severe bloating, some have very little.

It happens to me just about a week before the period.
