I know that my best friend is in love with this guy called Edward, but she won't admit it. Now the new girl Amy came in town and started dating Edward, and my best friend totally dumped me to go talk to her 24/7. Even after Amy & Edward broke up, my best friend continued sticking with her!
I talked to her today about how confused i was, did she consider me as her best friend anymore, and she said "YES! YOURE STILL THE GREATEST FRIEND EVER! I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH!" etc.etc., but then she just kept hanging out with Amy and only said random comments to me in between her conversations with Amy. Since Amy is really popular, she sometimes runs off with boys and leaves my best friend alone.
I don't get it, I'm so confused...is she a good friend or is she just using me in case Amy decides to ditch her? What can I do to fix this ??

It sounds like she is between the ages of 15-18 and she is going to want to be closer and value the opinions of female her own age thatn a male friend.
Best thing to do is keep the door open and let her know you are her friend, but don't expect her to be your best friend anymore. Find other fellas you own age that have similar likes and interests and hang with them.

just deal with it! let her be. dont bother going after her. it was she who dumps you for another friend in the first place. if she consider you as her bestfriend, then she would'nt do such thing to compromise your friendship. just be her friend minus the best. after all i'm sure you have great memories together. maybe she's a lot happier with her new friend right now and both of them have lots in common than her friendship with your's.

I think she is not a good friend. you please stop sticking to her & cut that friendship. why do you need a friend who don't need you? find a friend who understands you & help you , care you etc...And also remember one more thing ,don't select friends by looking the beauty, but select friends by looking their mind.
