Do you think that an elderly person can pursue studies?
I am 37 years old, and I'd like to study microbiology at the university, I have a bachelor degree obtained in 1997, is it possible? What do you think? And how can I register myself in a university?
I am from Atlanta.

Of course. As a matter of fact I went to school in Atlanta as well and I know for a fact that Georgia State University and Georgia Perimeter College are both campuses that are filled with "non-traditional" students. This is why they tend to offer later class selections because many of their students work during the day. I'm 100% sure that at either college you wont be the oldest student in your classes. Plus the good thing is that some of your credits from your first degree may be used towards your second degree. I know what when I entertained going to Georgia Perimeter after I finished at Georgia State, I was informed that I would only need to take 18 credit hours to finish an associates there because I had met many of the course requirements with my bachelors. I dont know the limits or if that policy doesn't count after a certain number of years but it's worth checking out. It may turn out that you're actually at an advantage. Good luck!

37 is hardly elderly! I see no problems with you continuing your education and I've been in class with people much older than you so I'm sure you'd fit right in.

You don't mention if the microbiology you want to study is a graduate program or another undergraduate degree. Either way, its easy to get started. Look up some schools you are interested in and find out what it takes to apply. You'll most likely need to take some sort of placement test if its graduate school but each school is different. Send in the application and keep your fingers crossed. Now is a great time to start working on enrollment for fall 2007.
