I have some medical problems that have caused me to gain weight and I am supposed to stay away from bad foods (the usual-sugar, dairy, chocolate, processed) so what does he buy me for V-day (and B-day, and Xmas)-yup, bad food. Then when I get upset he says it was a special day. Except he buys it all the time.

this is a dilemma.....perhaps after today, since you will no doubt get chocolate, just tell him how much you need his help by not buying the junk. Explain to him that your will power is low and you just can't have the junk around.......don't get upset, he's trying to be sweet in his own way....just explain how much you need his help.

So don't eat it. That seems to have nothing to do with holidays but with the lack of understanding from your significant other.
