is today "bash England" day?

i`m feeling a lot of hostility towards the english today, why is that? if our country is so shi.tty, why does half the world want to come here? if you are english and dont like it here you have every opportunity to make your life better (if you can be bothered!),so do something about it or shut the fk up moaning! if you are an immigrant and dont like it here, feel free to leave or shut the fk up. i am sick to death of people putting my country down. i dont say everything is perfect here but i sure as hell wouldnt live anywhere else.

michael b and thebigguy- i notice you only joined yahoo today. was it with the sole intention of insulting england? i n otice neither of you say what nationality you are but i bet i can guess. all i can think is that you both lost your woman (or man?) to an englishman. to blame this generation for battles fought centuries ago is pathetic-is that all youve got?

rolling bubbles-why would i leave? my gripe is with people who slag my country off, not with my country. i take your point about immigrants expressing an opinion, but why choose to come here and then complain because you dont like our way of life,

I like your sense of nationalism. I am from the U.S.A. and we have the same problem over here. It is not true that Americans think English are a bunch of tea drinking snobs, that is just a stereo type that people use for comedic purposes. If the English don't love and protect their own country then who else is: Answer, no one. Keep voicing your opinion and hopefully more of your country men will follow your way of thinking.

I'm not English, I'm from Ireland and most people over here hate England, which I think is kind of petty, I also think its pathetic when Americans bash England too. Most of them have probably never been to the place, they think its full of snobbish tea drinkers, what they don't realise is that England has an extremly diverse open minded population, and some of the best and most talented people in history have come from there. England isn't perfect but quess what? niether is America, far from it in fact.

I agree with your sentiments, only I live in southern California, where tons of illegal immigrants come into the US through this point. They make us taxpayers pay for their children that they have here, even though they arent a citizen and pay anything to taxes.....

I'm not sure about "bash England" day, but it sounds like things are getting as bad as it is here, only "politically correctness" keeps people from talking about it since they always have the racism card up their sleeve.....

I agree with you, Its not perfect but its good enough for us, and if anyone else has a problem with it then *** off!

At least we have free choice to do and say as we wish over here, (well maybe not so much anymore) but if we're arrogant "Michael" its because we've had to be, with all the **** we get from jealous foreigners like you, for being better than them!

Looks like the British empire is catching up on England, you invaded loads of countries, now you're recieving loads of hatred for it and to be honest you deserve it.

Bash England day should be made everyday for the genocides and horror's England has commited over the centuries gone by.
