I have to laugh at the Brit who answered. Like they have any room to talk. They import over half of their doctors teachers, nurses, etc...
It is sad to watch the dumbing down of America. The cause is the infiltration of the Socialist/Communist element into the public school system. The only way to fix it is to totally over haul the whole thing. As in do away with the NEA, the TEA and the union. Pay teachers based on performance, not tenure and do away with tenure. Stop paying admin. executive salaries. This has become absurd. Many of these jerks get $250,00 a year with perks. Bring back the mandatory subjects through the 12th grade. As in math, English, history, science and art. The crap with humanities and cultural diversity can be taught at home if a parent wants their child to learn it. A must to pass the U.S. Constitution in the 6th, 8th, 10th, and 12th grades. No pass, no graduation. No open campus. Get junk food companies out of the schools. How is that for a start. Also quit putting so much emphasis on sports and put more on learning and being intelligent.
Ok, now I am sure I will get a few thumbs down, because this goes against the far left and their agenda to make America stupid. So, thank you for the thumbs down I will get.

i think of it relies upon on the region... For starters, whether, there are no constitutional amendments holding adult men from something or giving adult men the ultimate to something especially. Now this would propose that adult men are the dominant element and can be stored "in verify" or it may propose that there is a psychological element at play in society that announces women human beings are "weaker" and choose protection. i'm prepared to wager, you will pay attention the two sides of the argument with quite some caveats to accompany those arguments. we've an area newspaper (The Westword) that presently printed a piece of writing some guy suing nightclubs over the regularly occurring women' nighttime that often occurs on Wednesdays. His declare grew to become into that ladies human beings get loose drinks from adult men as that's, so why is there discrimination against adult men on Wednesday nights allwoing women human beings to drink loose and not pay a conceal fee. (The bonehead is yet to win a case...) there is incredibly different aspects to ascertain: payscales, gender-particular careers, maternity vs paternity depart, etc. i think of we are residing in a greater equivalent society than human beings are prepared to confess, yet on a case via case prognosis, i think of you will see the two genders dealt with unfairly.

No, it' s not ironic.
The US has always been "importing" and collecting what would be necessary. US began as part of an advanced (European) civilization. That's why it seems to be advanced.
But its inherent evolving capacity would have to be minimized (this helps preserve stability -it's too extended a country). And this applies everywhere, of course. The political and social systems tend to reach an "equilibrium"-state. Unfortunately, this is near the average, and the average (in a preserved environment -that's now) is too hard to change. The social system favors importing, and the political system tolerates little or no changes to this strategy.
I believe Europe will face the same problem sometime (for now it's still expanding, and it does not really have an overall political management system -this adds some "influx-resistance").
The developing (3rd) world countries, on the other hand, have no option to preserve their current status. They need to change, and this drives their development (where applicable). After all, some of them have a really deep-rooted cultural/technical/scientific heritage.
So, I think, we shouldn't be surprised.

There's many reasons.

Political correctness - people are too concerned about hurting each others feelings and often prohibits us from doing the best thing for the situation.

Sexual equality - Women want equal treatment, which is ok by me. But what's not ok is when something goes bad (divorce, screwing up on the job, doing the job, etc.) women almost always get excused or hit payday for something that a man would be burned at the stake for.

Television - Whatever happened to all the good shows from the 80s and early 90s, even Happy Days and All in the Family were good shows. Now all we have are stupid reality shows and carbon copy cop/doctor shows that have the exact same plot and shows how retarded people truly are.

I could go on for days, but you get the point.

We are trying to let the rest of the world catch up.
Think about it and how many years have we been the number one super power of the world? well we are getting tired of having all this wealth and influence and being everybodies Uncle Sam.
England used to be, so was Spain, and you can even go back to Greece, Romans, Egyptains, etc etc..So give the third world a few years and they will be passing us up in GNP and making us look like a bunch of weinies/wankers/wussies? but whatever you call us the Americans are getting tired of being the arsenal of democracy and being the Paris Hilton of the world. We have had our fifteen minutes of fame. Now you third world countries and second world countries you can be made sport of and mocked and called lazy stupid..blah blah blah and the U.S. can just watch as our poor immigrtate to your shores and live on the dole in your country instead of being living on our nickel...ironic? no but the world does not like a void and the u.s. will be void of all means of production/jobs/opportunity for the young/ etc etc very soon.
Will the last person to leave the U.S. please turn off the lights?

The sum total of the intelligence of Americas population is represented in the President they elect.

It would be major stretching even a "D" average at the moment.

You are fighting a losing war against Moslem extremists, you have a history of segregation and racism ..yet your most promising Presedential candidate is a black moslem...what a joke!!!

Regardles of how good he will be He will represent everything mainstream America hates.

America and president shrub ( couldnt even be considered a Bush) are ********* joke on the world stage.

Give me all the thumbs down USA you like ..you are too stupid to know the truth behind thumbs up and down.

As a society you couldnt function without your illegals anyway..americans cant even take out there own garbage or do thier own laundry! LMFAO
