It's only safe to have sex with a good form of birth control and use of condoms.
a woman can ovulate anytime, anywhere,
if you don't want an unplanned pregnancy, use birth control and a condom or keep your legs closed and don't do it!

As far as the 8th day, sperm can live for 72 hours in your body, so no. And as for the day before your cycle, it is less likely because you should be done ovulating, but your body is not a computer, and could release an egg at any time. Also, a released egg can get caught on the rim of the ovary and break loose later in the month. Theres no guarantee.

Depends on when you ovulate.
If you don't want to get pregnant use condoms.
Hope this helps.

Unprotected sex on any day of the month could cause pregnancy. A spirit who really wants to be born into your family will find a way...trust me! =)
