God gave us only one heart so that we could exchange it to the one we love. If we had two hearts, then, probably it would have been difficult to change both hearts with one single person!

Because one heart is sufficient to love, to feel, to touch, to share, to experience, to bring peace. Loving God gave us one heart in case it is broken. Having two broken hearts would be more of a tragedy.
