Seascapes, mood tapes, tapes of soft rains, thunderstorms, animals sounds in the jungle, all accompanied by soft, soothing music. I could also recommend any CD by John Denver. His songs have a very nice and comforting tone about them, and sensitive.

Well, it's not just for babies.. but Priscilla Herdman lullabies are wonderful! She has such a beautiful voice! I'm thinking of her CD, Stardreamer, but I'm willing to bet that ANYTHING by her is wonderful.
**EDIT** It's true.. your brain processes all kinds of sounds while you are sleeping. It's why you can wake up when you hear your baby cough. The brain is an amazing thing.
