Learn from your mistakes (and obviously don't do them again!). Made quite a few bad mistakes and won't again (well, not those ones anyway!)

To think my words through before I open my big mouth lol I have a tendency to just say what I think out loud but it has got me in a lot of trouble so I now think things through before speaking, 9 times out of 10 I decide it's not an appropriate thing to say lol
I have also learned that life is very short and can be snatched away at any time, I only realised this by watching my child grow up. it goes so fast I need to pack in as many happy memories for him before its too late.

Do unto other as you would have them do unto you!
I know it is a bible quote and I am a atheist but I was taught to live my life like this, and it has made me happy over the years, my close friends (which I like to think I have many) treat me with great respect as they know they can trust me and I will not let them down, it does not always work, but people who just try to use you are soon shown for what they really are.
I am not mean or abusive to anybody and in return I am liked!

that you can't 'find' happiness as a state like you find an object, like "there it is". But that happiness is about enjoying the whole journey and the ups and downs and that it's about moments rather than finally feeling great all the time! simplistic perhaps but i was in my 20s at the time and It changed my life and the way I viewed my difficult times and I enjoy life now whereas before that, I didn't.

I learn that no matter how difficult life is, family will always be there. Friends come and go. Relationships can always fail. But family will always be there for me, through thick and thin. So, I learn that no matter how busy my life is I should never take my family for granted.

To never wear leather studded underwear inside out!
...Ok, maybe something a little more profound...
Working in a pub taught me to never live life for half measures, and experience has taught me that one of the best ways to have a contented life, is to be able to compromise, without compromising yourself.
Take care

Family is the most important thing in life. Even though they can be irritating and overbaring sometimes... in the end it is they who will always be there for you! Everyone in your life comes and goes except your family and really good friends, always appreciate them and let them know how much you care about them!

the best lesson i have learned is when i knew that there is a "purpose" why we live. and why? because life without a purpose is nothing.
