YES IT CAN. I've been in the medical field for 17 years and spent quite a few years in pulmonary at the HEART CENTER MEDICAL GROUP. We had a lot of pregnant patients and their care was very critical due to the fact that it is very dangerous to a fetus if the mother has a prolonged asthma attack.

It should only be obvious what can harm you also has the potential to harm your baby. There is such a thing as pregnancy induced asthma and if not controlled it can harm the baby, ask any pulmonologist.

An uncontrolled asthma attack can be dangerous for an unborn child, although it is rare for the child to die. It is possible to safely control asthma during pregnancy:

I hope you are not asking this question because you want to abort a child, but rather because you want to protect a child. At just three weeks after conception, a baby's heart is already beating. Here is some information about a baby's early development:

No, I do not believe so. There can be many factors that can cause spontaneous abortion but usually it is because of a defect and is not always caused by a specific thing. There are many things that are thought to cause miscarriages some from smoking, to the foods you eat etc. You should try not to worry to much because there are so many things that could cause m/c, but you'd have to lock yourself in a room to avoid them all *LOL*. Just do your best and I would speak with your doctor about getting you on some kind of medication to help you if that is what you are worried about.

some of the meds you use to control your attacks may cause problem with the fetus but your doctor will not give them type to you. also if you do not stop a attack once it starts and can cause some problems with you and may put stress on the baby because of your lack of o2.
