Breathe! Breathing controls all your nerves and when you breathe properly your body calms down!

Sometimes you cannot, because of the person interviewing you|

Sometimes you pick up subconscious clues that the interviewer is a no-good person working for a no-good company which makes people's lives hell if they can get away with it|

Always listen to what you are feeling there to avoid a terrible mistake|

I think that if the interviewer is good and the company is good, you will also pick this up and be at ease in the interview, and you won't have to worry about how to relax. You will simply do so naturally|

Trust yourself and show it to them... there is no reason for you to feel nervous... They are people just like you...i can not believe the person who offered you to use xanax... he must be the owner of that drug company... never use drugs... oh my god we're talking about a freakin' job interview... Just trust yourself, your education, your knowledge and general culture... imagine the interviewers having a sh*te, that will make you relaxed...

The night before and in the morning visualise that you already have the job. Visualise how you would do the job and how you feel in the role. This will give both you and the selection panel the confidence that you are the one.

Xanax. You have no idea how many people you are interviewing against went to their doctor asking for a prescription because they were afraid they might screw up out of stress and paralyzing fear - abject terror for some. Doctors fill prescription for people in this situation ALL THE TIME.

The people I am thinking about right now are chartered accountants...professionals on the career path. I've done it myself (professional librarian). It helps ALOT (maybe some of it is placebo effect too) - who knows who cares it works.
