Odd question, but I feel I did read somewhere that the average heterosexual is only 66% heterosexual. I may not be totally accurate on the precentage. I've searched google for something with no luck, could anyone tell me the precentage (if such a statistic exists) with a reliable source please? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, scrap the percentage, I knew it was some scale... not sure where the percentage came from but yes, I think it was the Kinsey Scale that I read about (though I believe that's not very reliable either). Does anyone know of a more recent study? It's for a research paper... didn't mean to offend anyone.

I believe it. It's very difficult to be forthright with sexual orientation sometimes because of society's backlash.

Never heard anything like that expressed in terms of percentages.
The only thing I've ever heard that tried to document it is the Kinsey Scale, which theorized that human sexuality fell on a scale from 1-6, with one end of the spectrum being completely hetero and one end being completely gay, and most people falling somewhere in between.
I don't recall if Kinsey theorized that the scale represented a bell curve distribution.

There’s always been two ways of thinking when it comes to this question. Firstly you get a group who think “we’re all bisexual to a certain degree”. I personally don’t believe this. I’m gay and have absolutely no interest in women. In fact the thought of sex with a woman disgust me. So I’m sure straight guys feel the same about gay sex.
Then you get the other way of thinking. A person is totally gay or totally straight. If they have any interest in both sexes (no matter how small), they’re bisexual or bi-curious. This is also what the dictionary says the meaning of the word “bisexual” is. How can a person be attracted to both sexes and still be straight or gay? If they are attracted to both sexes, then what’s the difference between them and bisexuals (no difference is there), so they’re bisexual.
A lot of bisexuals want to believe “we’re all attracted to both sexes”, but they’re fooling themselves. What “guy o” and “CJ” said was true, I know because I feel exactly the same (only in my case it’s guys I like). There are millions of people who are bisexual to different degrees. It’s just that we’re not all bisexual, that’s only a fantasy that bisexuals like to believe. Some gays also like to think they could have any straight guy, but again it’s just a fantasy. Just like some women like to believe they could have sex with a gay guy (dream on girls). As for “statistics”, there’s a massive number of people who won’t admit their own sexuality to themselves, so there’s no way they’d admit it in a survey.

I think there's a reason there is so much homosexuality in prisons - that has to do with loneliness. Sure, there's that predatory instinct that can be very noticeable in homosexuals - but basically, if you are desperately lonely, you could probably be gay knowing there was nothing you could do so give in. I think that's where the possiblity of heteros being homo comes in - all that happened is that somone slapped a statistical percentage on it!

I don't know where you've been reading your information, but I can assure you, I am 100% heterosexual. So much for that sources statistics.

I really doubt any of the data on this because so many people will not admit to the truth.

I don't think there are any credible statistics in this matter, partly to do with sampling, (size, culture) and partly to do with respondents' honesty.

It's cool that you're gay, but please, gay men, please, give up the straight boy fantasy. If we wanted d!ck we'd let you know. I hear so many gay men talk crap about straight men they don't even know," Oh he wants it", "Oh, he's got a hard on and he's staring at me", etc. It's just insulting. how would you like it if i stuck my stinky finger under your nose and asked if you suddenly wanted a vagina? No?
I love the gay community very much, just please stop with the delusions.

not as much as you would like.
You're not gonna get accurate statistics on something like that because they are gonna be politically motivated. (which is probably what you are looking for) Don't flatter yourself, we are all hetero.
