If push comes to shove, chocolates, her favourite takeaway, wine, and a fat cheque for round 100 "to spend any way she likes" will cover your bum.
Good luck!

Well what I would recommend doing is creating a nice personal dinner of your own. You did wait till the last minute for valentines day man. So what I would suggest setting up your place with candles a nice dinner you cooked, hit up some wine or something. Put on some soft music. Then go pick up your girl tell her to put on a blindfold or something like that and drive around for a few minutes. Pull up at your house walk her in and take her blindfold off and tell her that you thought this would be much more romantic and personal and tell her how much she means to you. Then show her the most romantic evening you ever have. Us as guys do not realize it but valentines day is a very important day for our women. Prepare a little earlier next year though man lol. Good luck

let's face it - u are well and truly stuffed on this one - u can try calling restaurants (see your local phone directory ), u might get lucky and find somewhere that has a cancellation, but my betting is that they've all been booked well in advance. you sound just like my boyfriend. he always puts things off til the last minute, and wonders why everything always goes wrong, and i end up being upset. i suggest u get out there, buy her some really nice gifts - and not just a manky box of chocolates and some half dead roses either !!! if u have a store called Lush in Brighton, go in there - they'll have some lovely valentines bath stuff - go for the heart shaped bath bombs that have rose petals in them. they'll also probably have gift wrapped sets for valentine's day. then u'd better get good at being able to cook, coz u'll need to make her a 3 course meal - and that includes getting some candles for the table, and a nice bottle of wine. if u are VERY lucky, she may forgive u enough to let u run her a bath afterwards, so she can try out her Lush stuff.

See if you can get dinner catered to an unexpected place set up nicely with good china, tablecloth, etc.
It can be kinda cheesy, but try to make it nice & it's a whole lot better than nothing.
Maybe you know a friend with a nice place who will be out that day, and can have it catered there?
Good luck!

Look on www.yell.com (Yellow Pages online) and ring round all the restaurants near to you to see if you are lucky enough to find something - good luck though as they may all be booked. If they are how about either getting a takeaway or cooking a lovely meal for her and setting the table with candles and flowers with soft lighting and music? Grovel basically and remember next year!

Marks and Spencers food hall at the Station, transfer to normal dishes, pretend you cooked it yourself, and later if the weather holds, a walk along the seafront, to the pier. I proposed to my wife on the beach near the peace statue, worked for me. Hope it works for you

Or the laughing onion in Kemp town, rubbish food, but the entertainment is tip top tastic

I think the best thing to do to save your *** is to cook a light meal for her or buy a take away...put it in an oven dish..pretend you cooked it.. Get a bottle of Champagne, a red rose, card or whatever... CANDLES!! Dnt 4get the candles... Eat together then take her for a drink to a bar later... Tell her you wanted to stay in and surprise her then go for a drink... Shucks man... Good luck!!!

cook for her - special gifts are simple, they come from the heart! Add a bottle of champers and a red rose and you should be off the hook.

There are a few good recipes on answer today.

Good luck

grab some of your single friends get them to dress up as waiters, get your mum to cook a 3 course meal (or do it your self)
set a table up in the park with champayne and candles (umbrella for the rain),
play some music on your ipod (romantic music) and get your friends to wait on you for the night,
Dont forget fairy lights

LOL well it worked for cat and alfie on eastenders you never know it might go down a treat.
remember to have a back up plan, Diamonds! good luck chick I think your gonna need it x

learn to cook - quick!

nip out and buy some candles and some flowers (and a bottle or two)

tell her you thought it far more romantic do cook her something yourself - even a spag bol would do

Otherwise get to your nearest M & S and get some of their gourmet stuff and just prepare it

good luck
