I am suffering from stomach cramps and spasms. Could it be ibs? No-one seems to know for sure and I hate being prescribed painkillers all the time which only give a temporary fix. Any ideas or similar conditions?

Have you eaten any Peter Pan peanut butter? I've had a rash of bad cramps on and off last 3-4 weeks. When I checked my peanut butter jar it was one of those that is being recalled for salmonella. I eat a lot of peanut butter...had no cramps last 3 days; had no bad peanut butter!! God bless

I suufered for a long time and then kept a food diary and found out that bananas, grapefruit, yogurt and sour cream cause painful cramps for me. Eat lots of fiber, green salads, gradually introduce ground flax seeds.

get a colonoscopy from a gi doctor, have them take biopsy of your colon to rule out Ulcerative Colitis.
bad cramps, gas, and lot's of runs to the toilet are the symptons

try bean-o with each meal and Gas-x after each meal.

works for me.

Did you try omitting dairy from your diet. Many people are lactose intolerant.
